RiverStreet Networks risks losing $44M Virginia BEAD award after VATI contract terminations
Virginia's Office of Broadband stripped RiverStreet Networks of multiple VATI (ARPA-funded) broadband contracts in July 2026 after years of missed deadlines, leaving more than 30,000 rural customers without promised connections. State broadband director confirmed RiverStreet's separate $44 million BEAD award is also in jeopardy, with a corrective action plan issued and a determination pending.
