Minnesota signs first BEAD subgrantee contract with East Central Energy
Minnesota's Office of Broadband Development executed its first BEAD subgrantee agreement on July 30, 2026, with East Central Energy for a fiber project expected to connect 3,750 locations between Minneapolis and Duluth. The state also approved the project's environmental review, and officials say 93 more contracts must be executed by October 2026.
